Toronto Day 6: Going Home

Not all that much to write about today, as most of it will be waiting at the airport for our flight. The nice thing, though, is that this new flight is direct and non-stop, so it won’t be as long in the air. Before heading to the airport, we decided to have one last nice meal. We went to an Italian restaurant called Le Scala near Pearson International Airport. We started with some wonderfully toasted bruschetta. I had gnocchi in a light red sauce, and she had a salad with salmon, dried cranberries, and goat cheese. For dessert, I had some tiramisu which had a very strong coffee flavour, and she had tartufo (an AWESOME mix of chocolate and vanilla gelato covered in cocoa powder). We enjoyed the meal, but I was a bit disappointed that the tartufo didn’t have the hazelnut coating mixed with the cocoa powder.

We dropped off the car, and waited a few hours for our flight. This flight was only delayed by about 30 minutes, which isn’t bad at all compared to our flight coming to Toronto!

In reference to the lovely performances, and as said by tour newcomer Jude, Merci beaucoup (for reading about our trip, that is). 🙂
