Primary O2

After a long time of figuring, and asking a million questions to a million different people, I have concluded that my check engine light (CEL) on my car is caused by an improper primary O2 sensor. The only reason I can think of that it would be ‘improper’ is that it is an aftermarket sensor and it’s connected to my AFR gauge. Therefore, if I unhook my gauge, get a new PO2, and wire it into the K-Pro ECU, I shouldn’t have a CEL anymore. Also, that will allow the K-Pro to log my AFR, and subsequently, make adjustments dynamically to match the target lambda.

Hopefully I will get that new primary O2 sensor sometime next week. I will keep you posted. 🙂

The start of another week…

Well this is the start of another grueling week at school. I’m still exhausted from last week and don’t really have the energy to start another. This week is exceptionally busy because I have extra things to do, aside from my usual amount of homework:

  • Tutoring a guy for the big ol’ standardised Uni admissions test.
  • Tutoring a kid in math.

And then of course there are the usual things that I do every week: classes, homework, volunteering at school, et cetera.

I don’t know; I’m not trying to sound like I’m complaining. I just am tired and could already use a break. Fortunately I’ll get one in a few weeks. 🙂

Today was a day with Mom

Today it seemed like my Mom just really needed some company, so we spent some time together. We went shopping up at the mall. First, we went to get some new towels for the bathrooms and ended up getting 5 sets (towels, washcloths, and hand-towels) for about $75 USD. Second, we went to the bookstore, which is Mom’s all-time favourite place to browse; she could spend hours just perusing the shelves. I ended up getting a neat pocket reference guide for the Linux shell and she walked out with a huge bag of new books. The best part is that she STILL has a bunch left on her giftcards!

Last, we went to get something quick to eat at this small Japanese place. It wasn’t the best food in the world, but for less than $5 USD per person, you just couldn’t beat it! There was so much food that we both had a bunch to bring home for Dad to eat.

Since then, she’s been reading, and I’ve been playing around with the new version of Gentoo & doing homework. All-in-all, not too bad of a day. 🙂
