A huge loss for comedy

On Sunday, at the age of 71, George Carlin died of heart failure. He was certainly a comedic icon, probably most remembered for “Al the Hippy Dippy Weatherman,” the “7 words you can’t say on television,” or just his general antistructuralistic sentiments. He leaves behind a generation of comics that modeled their humour and their routines after him. If there were ever given a PhD in comedy routines, I personally believe that George Carlin would be at the top of the list of possible recipients. In that regard, peace be with you Dr. Carlin.

What are those used for?

I recently got this cute email from a friend, and just thought I would share it here. 🙂

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, “Son, how old are you?” “Eight,” the boy replied. The man continued, “Do you know what these are used for?” The boy replied, “Not exactly, but they aren’t for me. They’re for him. He’s my brother. He’s four. We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can’t do either one.”

How do you feel about apples?

Hello all,

It has been quite some time since I have posted, but I believe it should be more steady now as I have finished the term at Uni. Those expecting some grandiose return message may be disappointed, but I found this odd image online. I thought it was pretty darn funny though. If apples take you to your happy place, then this one’s for you. If not, enjoy the humour anyway. 🙂
