Today was a day with Mom

Today it seemed like my Mom just really needed some company, so we spent some time together. We went shopping up at the mall. First, we went to get some new towels for the bathrooms and ended up getting 5 sets (towels, washcloths, and hand-towels) for about $75 USD. Second, we went to the bookstore, which is Mom’s all-time favourite place to browse; she could spend hours just perusing the shelves. I ended up getting a neat pocket reference guide for the Linux shell and she walked out with a huge bag of new books. The best part is that she STILL has a bunch left on her giftcards!

Last, we went to get something quick to eat at this small Japanese place. It wasn’t the best food in the world, but for less than $5 USD per person, you just couldn’t beat it! There was so much food that we both had a bunch to bring home for Dad to eat.

Since then, she’s been reading, and I’ve been playing around with the new version of Gentoo & doing homework. All-in-all, not too bad of a day. 🙂
