Anger gets us nowhere

I went out to pick my car up from the shop… again. When I arrived, I found out that essentially nothing had been done while it was there. I took it in to have the AEM A/F gauge removed, the primary O2 sensor wired to the K-Pro ECU, and have the calibration smoothed out. Well, the AEM gauge is still in there, the CEL (check engine light) regarding the O2 sensor was still on, and no tuning had been done. It’s just frustrating that I take my car over an hour away and then pick it up in the exact same condition.

On the way home I switched back to the stock ITR calibration (from the “tuned” one) and I liked it better. That makes me even more aggravated because I paid $395 USD for the dyno-tuning and I don’t even like it. When I got home, I was a little frustrated. I pulled the car into the garage and went to pop the hood. I guess I applied a little more force than usual, as the little latch (inside the cabin–the one you pull to release the hood) broke off. I looked online, and the part seems to be about $10 USD from the dealer. I guess I need to get that ordered sometime in the near future.

Sometime tomorrow or Saturday I need to take my car back up to have the speed pulse wire re-hooked up, and the dash molding finished. Those two things should only take about 45 minutes or so. At least I know that should work out nicely. 🙂

I’ll keep you posted.

True… it doesn’t have much to do with anger – but I thought it was an entertaining tidbit that would divert the anger? Maybe? Just wanted to share! 😛

Wow! I’m not sure what this has to do with the post “Anger gets us nowhere,” but it surely is interesting. 😉
